Lately I have been in the mood to sew. I’ve got quite an assortment of material that I’ve had build up, including some that has been given to me, and so I’ve decided to try and shrink my piles!
Sew What?
Here are a couple of samples of this week’s work:
I plan to give these to some children in the congregation here.
Here is a baby quilt I made last month. Some of it includes some quilting squares that I received from my Grandmother, which she had cut out years ago. I’m quite sure she never would have imagined that those little pieces of material would… end up in….
Africa!
Beautiful work! You amaze me!!! You are talented and generous, hope you are having a wonderful Lord’s Day!!!
Love you!!
Thank you Rachel. That would be fun to have a sewing class sometime. 🙂
Very nice! You are sweet to make them for girls of the congregation. Sometime you should have a sewing class for those of us who only dream to be able to whip something up like that 🙂
Thank you, Debbie and Naomi. Actually, the second picture is of a little girl's dress- hard to tell from the picture. 🙂 I do plan to make another shirt like the first one, since there are two girls about the same size in that family. Instead of a drawstring in the neck, I might just put elastic though. 🙂
Those are beautiful Mrs Joy! I've been wanting to make myself a baby quilt for my Hope Chest, I really need to start soon…your colors are really pretty, by the way! 🙂
Love you! <3

Wonderful work, Joy! I love both of the shirts and the baby quilt is beautiful! I am glad you are getting to do some sewing. What a lovely way to spend time. Love you sweet friend. Always thankful for you and the encouragement you give, whether spiritually or just happy homemaker wise. xo
